Symptoms of lumbar spine tuberculosis

Patients with lumbar spinal tuberculosis may exhibit the following symptoms: 1. Localized pain in the lower back. This pain is often not severe in the early stages, and the patient may feel only a vague localized pain, which may increase rapidly as the disease progresses. 2. There may be significant limitation of movement. This restriction of movement is also very characteristic. Patients often feel very stiff in the lower back and are not able to either bend or stay upright. Patients tend to support their waist with their hands so that they can lean back excessively, and only by maintaining this position can they be comfortable.3. There will be muscle spasms in the lumbar region.4. This type of disease can produce very many cold abscesses if the disease is of long duration. Usually there will be swellings that may protrude from the skin in the lumbar region, iliac region, and groin, and there is a fluctuating sensation when pressed. If the disease is more serious, it will also produce a rupture, and a series of pus will continue to flow outward. 5. Such patients may also have a series of systemic symptoms, such as low fever, night sweats, and wasting, etc.
