Perianal abscess is an acute purulent infection in the soft tissue around the anal canal and rectum or in the interstitial space around it, and forms an abscess, which is characterized by self-rupture or often forms an anal fistula after surgical incision and drainage, and is a common anorectal disease. The common causative organisms are Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, occasionally anaerobic bacteria and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and often a mixture of germs. A few perianal abscesses can be dissipated with antibiotics, hot water sitz baths and local physiotherapy, but most require surgical treatment. Among the two surgical methods chosen by the department, I believe, following years of experience, that one-time radical surgery for perianal abscess is the most satisfactory surgical method for patients at present, which can save them the trouble of secondary surgery and prevent them from suffering the distress of repeated breakage and pus flow around the anus after incision and drainage, and at the same time reduce or economic burden.
