Drug balloon therapy and coronary stenting are two of the more important treatment options for patients with coronary artery disease. At present, the mainstream is still dominated by stent implantation, and implantation without interventional devices or absorbable implantation is the future development trend. The drug balloon has its advantages, firstly, no thrombosis, secondly, low risk of restenosis, and relatively less thrombosis after drug balloon therapy and stent implantation. Patients can take antiplatelet drugs for 1-3 months after drug balloon surgery, while stent implantation requires 1 year, which has a greater advantage for patients with high bleeding risk or those who cannot tolerate taking drugs for a long time. The prognosis of drug ballooning and stenting is comparable through the current study.
