Is it normal to have a headache from tonsillitis?

Inflammation of the tonsils may cause headaches, which is a relatively normal occurrence. When acute inflammation of the tonsils is severe, the degree of sore throat is often severe, and some patients may have difficulty in eating and swallowing, which may also cause fever, headache and other related symptoms. Some patients may further develop purulent tonsillar infections, or conditions such as peri-tonsillitis or peri-tonsillar abscesses, which may cause sore throat and head pain symptoms. According to the degree of tonsillitis, oral or intravenous anti-infection treatment should be taken to improve the inflammatory condition of the tonsils as soon as possible and reduce the symptoms of sore throat and headache.
