Does a Grade 3 heart murmur heal itself?

Heart murmurs are abnormal sounds that occur in addition to heart sounds and additional heart sounds, due to specific changes in blood flow during systole or diastole, and are clinically classified into six levels according to the intensity of the murmur. A murmur of grade three or higher is more likely to be an organic murmur, and the possibility of heart disease is suspected or present. Once a murmur is detected on auscultation, it is recommended to have an early cardiac ultrasound to determine whether there is an abnormality in the heart and the specific type of heart disease. Mild heart disease such as atrial septal or ventricular septal defects, valvular stenosis, or insufficiency of closure may cause a grade 3 murmur to disappear naturally as the heart disease heals, but most patients may require surgical treatment of the heart to make the murmur disappear.
