Entecavir indications are mainly for the treatment of replication-active hepatitis B virus infection, but also can be combined with other antiviral drugs to treat AIDS. Entecavir is the first-line antiviral drug recommended by China’s hepatitis B guideline, and can be used to treat hepatitis B patients with indications for antiviral therapy. Entecavir indications mainly include adult chronic viral hepatitis B with active hepatitis B virus replication, persistent abnormal liver function, and obvious damaging lesions found in liver tissue. At the same time, entecavir can be used in combination with other nucleic acid-based drugs, such as lamivudine and tenofovir, to treat HIV. Entecavir is recommended to be used under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
