When the baby teeth are falling out, they can be left untreated and left to fall out naturally, or they can be removed under local anesthesia, as follows.
1. Waiting for its natural fall: In general, milk teeth will fall out automatically during the replacement period, after which permanent teeth will erupt without any special treatment, and after the root of milk teeth is absorbed, they will loosen and eventually fall out.
2. Extraction: If the milk teeth are not yet lost and the succeeding permanent teeth have already erupted, the milk teeth need to be extracted. If the roots of the milk teeth are basically resorbed and the degree of looseness is large, surface anesthesia will be performed and the milk teeth will be extracted using dental pliers; if the root resorption of the milk teeth is less than 1/3~2/3, infiltration anesthesia will be performed, and the milk teeth will be extracted using dental pliers.
