Current status of lymphoma treatment in the Oncology Center of Qinghai Medical College

The lymphoma treatment zone of QMC was established on the basis of our radiotherapy center and chemotherapy center. The main purpose is to centralize the treatment of lymphoma patients with very low incidence, which is conducive to doctors’ standardized diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. From the current status of lymphoma treatment in China, the treatment of lymphoma is scattered in many departments such as oncology, hematology, stomatology, otorhinolaryngology, gastroenterology, general surgery, respiratory medicine, etc. The general doctors only come into contact with a few patients each year, and coupled with the complex pathological classification of lymphoma, there are about 80 types, so even the general doctors in oncology and hematology may not have a high understanding of this disease, resulting in a disease that should be cured becoming a prolonged disease. Therefore, even general physicians in oncology and hematology departments may not have a high understanding of this disease, which causes the disease that should be cured to become a persistent disease. In order to change this situation, our center has centralized the treatment of lymphoma patients in recent years, and now Dr. Hongwei Xue and his lymphoma treatment colleagues are treating more than 30 patients per month, making it one of the more centralized bases for lymphoma treatment in China.
