The survival rate of fat is always a major concern of the patients. When doing full face lipofilling in clinic, it is found that the survival rate varies in different areas after lipofilling. The greater the activity of the face, the lower the survival rate of fat, such as nasolabial folds, roots and other parts of the face. Whereas areas with rich blood flow will have a higher fat survival rate, such as the apple muscle and cheeks. Therefore, we will adjust the amount of fat filled according to the results of the previous procedure and repeat the lipofilling 2~3 times to achieve satisfactory results. The survival rate of fat is also related to many other factors, such as the doctor’s grafting technique, the candidate’s own condition and the ability to take care of the fat. Combining the above factors, based on my many years of clinical experience in the hospital, I have summarized the list of facial survival rates, which are in descending order: apple muscle, cheeks, forehead, eyebrow arch, tear trough, both sides of the forehead, temples, chin, nasolabial folds, and root of the hill. The key to improve the fat survival rate is to improve the blood transportation conditions in the recipient area, to ensure the stability of the recipient area, so that the fat can establish effective blood transportation as soon as possible. Therefore, in the early period after fat grafting, you should try to avoid rubbing and hot compressing the surgical area, do less facial expression, minimize chewing, etc., so that the fat can establish blood flow with the recipient area as soon as possible to improve the survival rate. Of course, in order to increase the survival rate of fat, you can also consider the use of botulinum toxin to control muscle movement, but also to achieve the effect of removing facial wrinkles, can be said to “kill two birds with one stone”.
