Kudzu flower, with the effect of detoxifying alcohol and awakening the spleen, stopping bleeding, is mainly used for the treatment of injuries and alcohol irritability (irritability and sultriness) thirst, headache and dizziness, distension and fullness of the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen), not thinking about food, vomiting blood, etc.. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear.
Hovenia dulcis, has the effect of inducing diuresis to reduce swelling and detoxify alcohol. It is mainly used for the treatment of edema, drunkenness. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are unclear, and should be used with caution for those with cold spleen and stomach.
Ge Hua Jie Wei Tang (葛花解酲汤) is mainly used in treating symptoms of injury to the spleen due to accumulation of alcohol, such as dizziness and vomiting, poor appetite and body fatigue, dysuria (unruly urine) and diarrhea in stools. It is not recommended to use for people with deficiency cold, and should be used with caution for people with stomach cold and vomiting.
