Is left posterior lumbar disc herniation serious?

A patient suffering from lumbar disc herniation with left posterior herniation is able to make a clear judgment in terms of the specific severity based on the patient’s self-perception, physical examination and combined with auxiliary examination. If the patient only feels pain and discomfort in the lumbar region, has difficulty bending over, has no nerve compression symptoms in the left lower limb, and does not see any obvious dural sac pressure through the MRI film of the lumbar spine, it is not a serious disease. Conservative treatment can be given, the patient is instructed to pay attention to rest and reduce activities, can lie flat on a hard board bed, lumbar traction, together with tui-na, physical therapy and other treatments. If there is radiating tingling pain in the left lower extremity, difficulty walking, positive left lower extremity elevation test during clinical examination, abnormalities in the second stool and severe dural sac indentation can be seen through MRI films of the lumbar spine, it is a more serious lesion.
