The third molar, also known as the wisdom tooth, is mainly divided into anesthesia, flap and bone removal, extraction, and treatment of the extraction wound. 1. Anesthesia: Usually, upper alveolar nerve is anesthetized when maxillary wisdom teeth are removed, and lower alveolar nerve + buccal nerve + lingual nerve is anesthetized when mandibular wisdom teeth are removed. 2. Flap and debridement: Most of the soft-tissue blocked wisdom teeth require incision of the gums to expose the teeth. For some low blocked wisdom teeth there is also resistance from bone tissue, which needs to be removed to expose the view completely. 3. Extraction: The affected teeth are extracted separately by root splitting and other techniques, and the maxillary wisdom teeth can usually be extracted as a whole. 4. Extraction wound treatment: clean up the debris and granulation tissue in the extraction socket, carry out repositioning, and those who flap suddenly need suturing. Finally, after the tooth extraction precautions, it is usually recommended to bite cotton to stop bleeding for 30 minutes, do not eat within 2 hours. It is recommended to go to the regular hospital stomatology department.
