Are the consequences of a traumatic concussion serious?

Concussion is a common clinical mild craniocerebral injury, usually there is no obvious abnormality in head CT examination, and it is mainly characterized by transient headache, nausea, impaired consciousness, and forgetfulness of recent events. It is mostly seen in trauma and violence, and its consequences are usually not very serious.
1. Clinical manifestations: patients may have transient loss of consciousness and amnesia of recent events, the duration of which usually does not exceed 30 minutes. It may be accompanied by headache, dizziness, nausea, emotional instability, memory loss, etc. Some patients may also experience a drop in blood pressure, pallor, and a weak pulse.
2. Treatment: Imaging examination of concussion patients generally has no obvious abnormality, and concussion generally does not require special treatment, bed rest for 1~2 weeks can be recovered, so it is generally not serious.
During the rest period of concussion, attention should be paid to a light diet and head protection to avoid secondary injury. At the same time, we should closely observe the changes of the condition and go to the hospital in time if any abnormalities occur, so as not to delay the condition by negligence.
