For patients with ovarian cysts, they can be treated by regular review and surgical treatment. Due to individual differences and different treatment effects, it is not possible to determine which treatment is the most effective.
1. Regular review: due to the cyclic changes in ovarian function, physiologic cysts will be formed. If the cysts are found to be less than 3cm, ultrasound can be reviewed after the menstrual period or 3 months to monitor the growth of the cysts, and if there is no significant change in the size of the cysts, then regular follow-up can be continued.
2. Surgery: For patients with cysts larger than 5cm or rapid growth within a short period of time, or patients with unexplained severe abdominal pain on one side of the body who suspect that the cysts have torsion, surgery is needed to remove the localized cysts or remove one side of the ovary.
For patients who have been examined and found to have ovarian cysts, it is recommended that they go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital and choose the appropriate treatment under the guidance of the doctor to actively treat the cysts.
