Can you measure progesterone yourself?

You cannot test progesterone on your own, if you want to test progesterone you need to go to the hospital to have blood drawn for the test. Progesterone is a hormone that is necessary to support the growth and development of the gestational sac when a woman is pregnant, and a high or low level of progesterone can roughly determine whether or not a woman is likely to have a miscarriage. The progesterone test is not affected by diet, so there is no need for a fasting test. However, as there are many checkups in early pregnancy, not only progesterone, but also liver and kidney functions, it is recommended to do the checkup on an empty stomach so as not to affect the accuracy of the other checkups. If low progesterone occurs in the early stages of pregnancy, it is mostly considered to be caused by insufficient secretion of its own hormones.
