How thrush is caused

Thrush is oral candidiasis. The main causes of thrush include infection by causative organisms such as Candida albicans and a decline in the body’s defenses, as well as associated factors such as dry mouth.
1. The allergens of oral candidiasis are mainly Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. Candida albicans is more common, and it is often parasitized in normal people’s oral cavity, intestinal tract and other places, and other microorganisms in the body to maintain a symbiotic balance, and does not cause disease. But when the body’s defense ability to decline, it can cause disease.
2. Situations that cause a decline in the body’s defense ability include long-term application of broad-spectrum antibiotics, long-term use of immunosuppressants or radiation therapy, etc. Infants and young children have low immunity, which can easily lead to a large number of Candida albicans infections, and therefore thrush is common in infants and young children.
Other related factors include dry mouth and dentures. If there is any discomfort, prompt medical attention is recommended.
