How often do women change their rings?

How often a woman should change her birth control ring depends on the material of the ring and her own situation, and cannot be generalized. There are many different types of birth control rings, and the corresponding placement time is different for different materials. Under normal circumstances, if it is a metal birth control ring, most of them can be placed for about 15 years; if it is a silicone plastic or other types of birth control ring, it may be placed for about 5-10 years. Therefore, according to the instructions of the specific birth control ring, if the ring has reached its expiration date, it should be replaced in time. If there are no special circumstances after the IUD is placed, such as a displaced, embedded, or broken IUD, the IUD can be replaced before its expiration date; however, if there is a displaced, embedded, or broken IUD or other abnormalities, the IUD should be removed as soon as possible. After the IUD is placed, you should pay attention to regular gynecological checkups to observe whether there are any abnormalities in the ring. If there is abdominal pain or other abnormal discomfort, it is recommended to go to the gynecology department in a timely manner to avoid the occurrence of embedded rings and other situations.
