There are the following possibilities for bilateral ovaries not being visualized: a. If it occurs during abdominal ultrasound, it is related to poor bladder filling. If there is no urine in the bladder, it will lead to poor display of the adnexal area and the ovaries may not be seen. It is suggested that you can drink more water, hold urine and re-examine, or you can change to vaginal ultrasound. Second, during the vaginal ultrasound, if both ovaries are not found it is possible that the ovaries are absent, which is a manifestation of the underdevelopment of the reproductive organs. Some contrast machines will diffuse to the ovarian veins and will slightly resemble a partial ovarian-like image.
