Does kidney cancer make you bloated?

Kidney cancer patients may experience abdominal bloating.

The most common symptoms of kidney cancer patients include hematuria, lumps and back pain. Hematuria is often the earliest symptom of kidney cancer. Lumps can be found in the abdomen or waist when they are large and their texture is hard. Low back pain is mostly manifested as dull or hidden pain.

Abdominal distension is not a typical symptom of kidney cancer. It may be due to occupying lesions in the posterior peritoneum, which affects the peristalsis of intestines and prevents food residues or gas from being discharged in time, so abdominal distension occurs.

Because renal cancer is a consumptive disease, patients in the advanced stage may have malnutrition and malignant disease, so patients should pay attention to nutritional supplementation.
