Humerus fractures generally take up to 3 months to recover, but the exact time varies from person to person. Humerus fractures are mainly fractures caused by a relatively large amount of violence to the patient’s upper arm. If the humerus fracture is not significantly displaced, it can be fixed in a cast or splint for 4-6 weeks, and functional exercises can be performed after the cast is removed. If the patient has a significantly displaced or crushed humerus fracture, internal fixation of the fracture is required, either by intramedullary nail fixation or by plate fixation. Because of the fracture of the humerus area, the blood flow is relatively poor, so the elderly, patients with chronic wasting diseases, the fracture healing ability is poor, bone discontinuity may occur, and the recovery time will be relatively long. Therefore, patients with humerus fracture need to pay attention to rest, strict braking, quit smoking and alcohol, and avoid spicy and stimulating foods in their diet.
