In clinical practice, we often see some family members of tumor patients believe in some “biased prescriptions” or “ancestral secret recipes” that are falsely advertised by hearsay or the Internet or some institutions, so that patients can take them blindly, which results in wasting money and delaying the best treatment time of the disease. The fundamental principles of TCM treatment for tumor are: 1) Discriminatory treatment under the guidance of holistic concept theory, different treatment for the same disease or different disease; 2) Combination of attack and supplementation with different emphasis according to the different stages of disease and organism’s deficiency; 3) Combination of disease identification and evidence identification, tumor suppression and support, overall regulation and local treatment, somatic treatment and psychological treatment; 4) Combination of modern medical treatment measures such as surgery, radiotherapy, treatment of tumor and psychological treatment. 4.For modern medical treatment measures such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, etc., organically combined with TCM dialectical treatment in order to play the advantage of reducing toxicity and increasing effectiveness; 5.TCM treatment should run through the whole process of tumor treatment, neither partial emphasis nor partial waste. In conclusion, the treatment of tumor by TCM must be comprehensive, flexible, and different from person to person and from time to time.
