What’s the difference between a whiplash headache and a brain tumor pain

The difference between cervical spondylosis headache and brain tumor pain includes the pain site, accompanying symptoms, and whether the brain nerve function is damaged.
1. Pain site: the site of cervical spondylosis headache is mainly located in the posterior occipital region, which is mainly caused by nerve root compression in cervical spondylosis. Tumor pain site is not limited to the posterior occipital area.
2. Accompanying symptoms: headache of cervical spondylosis is often accompanied by radiating pain in the upper limbs on the affected side, and it is not accompanied by symptoms of increased intracranial pressure such as nausea and vomiting. Brain tumor pain will not be accompanied by radiating pain in the upper limbs on the affected side, and symptoms of increased intracranial pressure, such as nausea and vomiting, etc., may appear with the enlargement of the tumor.
3. Whether intracranial nerve function is impaired: cervical spondylosis usually does not cause cerebral nerve function impairment, while intracranial tumor may cause intracranial nerve function impairment as the tumor grows bigger and bigger. Patients may suffer from vision loss, hearing loss, difficulty in swallowing and other symptoms.
It is recommended that patients with cervical spondylosis or brain tumor should go to the hospital in time and be actively treated under the doctor’s guidance so as not to delay the condition.
