Chinese Cupping for Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis belongs to the category of congested nose in Chinese medicine. Cupping treatment mainly focuses on the bladder meridian and lung meridian points, choosing Lung Yu, Zhongfu, Spleen Yu, Diaphragm Yu and other points for treatment. The specific operation is to adsorb the cupping pot on the acupoints and leave the cupping pot for about 10 minutes. Or use the flash fire method of cupping, until the local skin is flushed to the degree.
Lung Yu, Diaphragm Yu, and Spleen Yu are located 1.5 inches away from the posterior midline, under the spinous processes of the 3rd, 7th, and 11th thoracic vertebrae. Zhongfu is located 6 inches away from the anterior midline, transverse to the 1st intercostal space.
First choose the appropriate position, fully expose the site of cupping, and then adsorb the fire pot on the acupoints, leaving the cupping for about 10 minutes. Or use flash fire method of cupping, until the local skin flushes to the degree that can be achieved to tonify the spleen and benefit the lungs, supporting the positive and dispelling the evil (support the body’s positive qi and get rid of the body’s evil) of the therapeutic effect.
When performing cupping therapy, it should be performed under the guidance of a professional physician, and should not be performed privately to avoid damage to the body.
