How to read the results of an ambulatory electrocardiogram

When you get an ECG result, the analysis is divided into the following steps: 1) look at the total number of heart beats, too slow, too fast, too much, too little are all abnormalities; 2) look at the abnormal heart rate, such as the number of premature atrial and ventricular beats, and also pay attention to the way the atrial and ventricular beats appear, whether they are duplex, triplex or atrial tachycardia; 3) observe the ST-T changes, whether there is ST-segment elevation or depression, and whether there is T-wave inversion. There is no T-wave inversion and other manifestations of myocardial ischemia. When getting an ECG, we should also pay attention to whether the recording time of the ECG has reached 24 hours or 48 hours, because the total number of beats required in different time frames is different; 4. In addition to the waveforms and beats on the ECG report, we should also pay attention to the report provided by the patient, indicating the approximate time when the discomfort occurred.
