Duodenal bulbous ulcers are usually on medication for 4-6 weeks. Duodenal bulbar ulcers can be endoscopically categorized from mild to severe into scarring, healing, and acute stages. In the scarring stage, the ulcer has basically formed a scar; in the healing stage, the edema around the ulcer has basically disappeared, and some regeneration is visible; in the acute stage, the surrounding edema is congested and is active. The first two phases are not very serious, and usually, duodenal bulb ulcers take 4-6 weeks of medicine.
