Will spondylitis heal on its own

Spondylitis does not heal on its own. Spondylitis is a relatively serious neurological condition, and currently spondylitis is generally referred to as acute transverse myelitis and, less commonly, optic nerve myelitis. If left untreated, spondylitis can cause severe neurological deficits, manifested by impaired mobility of the lower extremities, urinary and bowel movements, and sensory deficits. Treatment generally involves initiating immunotherapy as early as possible in the acute phase, most commonly with high-dose hormone shocks, often with methylprednisolone, or with gammaglobulin, which is more expensive. After the end of the shock treatment, it is then changed to a smaller dose of prednisone orally and maintained for a period of time. Acute transverse myelitis is usually maintained for a shorter period of time, only about one month, while optic neuromyelitis optica is usually required to be maintained for at least 3-6 months, and the latter has a higher probability of recurrence.
