Alcoholic liver damage

According to the severity of alcohol damage to the liver, alcoholic liver damage can be divided into three stages, namely alcoholic fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis and alcoholic cirrhosis, as follows: 1. Phase I damage: refers to alcoholic fatty liver, a large amount of long-term drinking will lead to sexual changes in the fat of the liver, which cannot be metabolized in the liver cells and increasingly accumulate into alcoholic fatty liver; 2. Phase II damage: develops into alcoholic hepatitis. The liver in the process of metabolizing alcohol, the metabolites, ethanol and metabolic derivatives will cause an inflammatory response to the liver, inflammation to the liver cells damage, and even necrosis, which leads to the occurrence of alcoholic hepatitis; 3, phase III damage: leading to alcoholic cirrhosis, if the damage that occurs in phase I and II is not controlled in a timely manner, and allowed to develop, and then will gradually develop into nodules, fibroplasia, liver fibrosis, and finally cirrhosis. Finally, cirrhosis will appear, at which point the damage to the liver will be irreversible and may be transformed into liver cancer. Therefore, it is very important to stop drinking to prevent alcoholic liver damage, and we should correctly recognize the damage caused by alcohol to the liver in our life, develop good habits, do not drink heavily, and have regular medical checkups, and seek medical attention if abnormalities are found.
