It is mainly used for treating blood stasis and menstrual closure, post-partum malignant discharge, pain in umbilicus and abdomen; deficiency of positive qi, internal stoppage of blood stasis and dry blood labor, weakness, abdominal fullness and inability to eat and drink, rough and dry skin, like dry fish scales and armor staggering, dark eyes, or women with menstrual closure and inability to do menstrual closure; bruises, stagnation and swelling and pain and other diseases.
Gadfly can be decocted or powdered. However, it is forbidden for pregnant women; it is not suitable for patients with deficiency without stasis and diarrhea.
