Bleeding after intercourse requires further gynecological examination to check for cervical erosion. If there is cervical erosion, further cervical cancer screening TCT and HPV are needed to check for HPV infection and cervical cytology lesions. If there is no HPV infection and cervical cytology, it is considered to be caused by elevated estrogen level and cervical columnar epithelial outgrowth, mostly due to bleeding caused by inflammatory irritation. If HPV infection and cervical cytology is present, regular follow-up or further surgical treatment is needed.
