A ground glass nodule of 7 mm in diameter requires high alert for the possibility of lung cancer. The manifestations of malignancy include clear borders, pleural traction, and vascular penetration, which need to be further confirmed by follow-up. Malignancy is highly suspected if the above-mentioned malignant features are present and remain unchanged or increase in size during follow-up, or if the solid component increases. 7 mm when surgical treatment is possible, usually pulmonary nodule resection, partial lobectomy, and postoperative pathology can determine the nature. If it is cancer, it may be early and surgical radical treatment is effective. If it is a benign lesion, early detection and treatment is also meaningful to prevent further malignant changes.
