How to take Yin Chen

Yin Chen, also known as Artemisia capillaris, is usually used as a decoction in water. It is bitter, pungent and slightly cold in nature, and belongs to the liver, gallbladder, spleen and stomach meridians. It has the effect of clearing dampness-heat, relieving bile and jaundice (dredging the biliary tract to eliminate jaundice). It is mainly used for treating damp-heat jaundice, yangming disease, and itching of sores and rashes. Besides, it can be used externally by decocting and fumigating the affected area. Large amounts of this product may cause nausea and vomiting, transient dizziness, and self-consciousness of heartbeat discomfort. Avoid alcohol, meat, greasy, spicy and irritating food while taking the medicine. Caution should be exercised in cases of blood accumulation and yellowing (external heat illness, stagnant heat in the body leading to yellowing of the body, black stools, etc.) and blood deficiency with yellowish complexion and skin. In general, it is not recommended to take Yin Chen by oneself, and those who have uncomfortable symptoms should consult a doctor in time, do not blindly use medication, so as not to delay the condition.
