Lupus encephalopathy is caused by SLE combined with damage to the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, and secondary factors such as drugs and infections cannot be excluded. It can be treated with medication and intramedullary injection therapy, and common medications include methylprednisolone tablets and methotrexate. Glucocorticosteroids contain powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-immune and antitoxin effects, and the treatment of lupus encephalopathy can be achieved by inhibiting the phagocytosis and processing of antigens by macrophages through glucocorticosteroids, altering the number and distribution of lymphocytes, decreasing the number of lymphocytes that participate in the immune process, and inhibiting the antibody response in sensitive animals. Common glucocorticosteroids include methylprednisolone tablets and dexamethasone tablets. Intramedullary injection therapy is currently the most effective and safe treatment for lupus brain, and common injections include methotrexate. Patients suffering from lupus encephalopathy are advised to use the medication under the guidance and advice of a doctor to avoid taking it on their own and experiencing adverse effects.
