There is no such thing as what disease is the best to be treated with Codonopsis pilosula. Codonopsis pilosula treats the disease according to the evidence and the physician will use the medicine according to the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Codonopsis belongs to the category of deficiency tonic and is often used to treat deficiency of lung, spleen and qi, deficiency of qi and blood, and deficiency of qi and fluid. Radix Codonopsis pilosulae has the effects of tonifying the spleen and lungs (tonifying the spleen and lungs), nourishing blood and generating fluids. It is mainly used in treating deficiency of lung, spleen and qi, such as coughing and shortness of breath, and is often combined with Atractylodes macrocephala and Poria; or deficiency of qi and blood, such as dizziness, fatigue and palpitation (accelerated heartbeat often accompanied by panic), and is often combined with Astragalus membranaceus and Radix Angelicae Sinensis; or injury to qi and fluids, such as shortness of breath and thirst, and is often combined with Maitake Dangdon and Fructus Schisandrae chinensis.
