Is proteinuria always nephritis?

There are proteinuria may be nephritis or other reasons. Proteinuria is divided into physiologic and pathologic, and the pathologic ones include nephritis and so on.
1. Physiological: proteinuria may occur after strenuous exercise, fever, or consuming a large amount of high-protein food, and will usually return to normal after removing related factors.
2. Pathologic: including nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and so on. Nephritis is glomerulonephritis, with proteinuria, hematuria, edema and hypertension as the main manifestations. Nephrotic syndrome is mainly characterized by massive proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, edema and hyperlipidemia. Proteinuria may be due to nephritis or nephrotic syndrome.
