Can the lung be removed?

The lung can be resected, and if the patient is diagnosed with a malignant lung tumor and has an indication for surgery, surgical treatment can be considered to remove the tumor lesion. Surgery may also be considered if the patient has bronchiectasis with limited lesions and recurrent infections and hemoptysis. If the patient’s lung CT indicates pulmonary blister, a single pulmonary blister and repeated pneumothorax, surgery can also be considered. If the patient is diagnosed with lung abscess after lung CT and other related examinations, and the condition does not improve after conservative medical treatment and interventional treatment, surgery can still be considered when there is an indication for surgery.
