How long can you live with primary liver cancer?

The five-year survival rate for early-stage primary liver cancer is about 60%-70%, and the life expectancy for advanced primary liver cancer is often only 3-6 months.

For patients who are generally well, with tumors less than 5 cm or single tumors without distant metastases, a high five-year survival rate of about 70% can be achieved after surgical treatment, radiofrequency ablation, and postoperative adjuvant therapy. However, within one to two years after surgery, the probability of tumor recurrence is 60-70%. Therefore, postoperative adjuvant therapy and regular review are necessary to improve long-term survival and early detection of tumor recurrence.
