How long does ceftriaxone sodium take to treat gonorrhea?

Ceftriaxone treatment for gonorrhea usually takes about 7 to 10 days.
Gonorrhea is caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection, which mainly leads to purulent infections of the genitourinary system, but also eye, pharyngeal, rectal infections, and disseminated gonococcal infections. Treatment is based on antibiotics, ceftriaxone is preferred, and generally gonorrheal urethritis needs to be medicated for about 7 to 10 days;
