Gonorrhea is caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection, which mainly leads to purulent infections of the genitourinary system, but also eye, pharyngeal, rectal infections, and disseminated gonococcal infections. The standard of cure is the complete disappearance of symptoms and signs, and the negative test of pathogenicity examination after one week, which is judged as cure.
