What does placenta previa mean?

Hypoplacental status refers to a low lying placenta before 28 weeks of pregnancy. Hypoplacenta is a condition in which the placenta is attached to the lower part of the uterus after 28 weeks of pregnancy, with its margins less than 20 mm from the endocervical opening, but not reaching the endocervical opening. Before the 28th week of pregnancy, if a woman has a low lying placenta it is possible for it to adjust to a normal position. After the 28th week of pregnancy, if the placenta is still low lying, only then can it be diagnosed as a low lying placenta, so before the 28th week of pregnancy it is called a low lying placenta state. If a pregnant woman is diagnosed with placenta previa, she should relax, take more rest, do not stand for a long time, do not overwork, and do not do strenuous exercise. If placenta previa is still present after 28 weeks of pregnancy and bleeding symptoms occur, contractions should be suppressed, bleeding should be controlled, infection should be prevented, and the pregnancy should be terminated if necessary. In the case of placenta previa, you should follow the doctor’s instructions to have regular checkups and observe the condition of the placenta at all times.
