Red patches on the calves may be related to eczema, contact dermatitis, allergic purpura and other factors.
1. Eczema: may be related to the patient’s body immune abnormalities and other factors, clinical manifestations of pimples, erythema, itching and other symptoms, suffering from eczema may lead to red patches on the calves.
2. Contact dermatitis: the patient may be the calf contact with certain allergens, which in turn triggered the calf skin allergic reaction, may initially appear erythema, mild itching and so on.
3. Allergic purpura: It is usually an inflammatory reaction of the capillaries triggered by the dysfunction of the autoimmune system. If there are red plaques on the calves, which are slightly higher than the surface of the skin, in the form of papules or maculopapules, and will not fade away when pressed, then it is possible that it is allergic purpura.
With red patches on the calf, patients are advised to go to the hospital in time for examination to clarify the nature of the spots, and to be treated according to different types of skin diseases.
