Lymph nodes may get bigger and bigger with repeated stimulation of lymph nodes which can lead to hyperplasia and enlargement of lymph nodes. Under normal circumstances, it is not necessary to feel lymph nodes every day. If the lymph nodes are swollen and painful, it is considered to be caused by inflammatory infection, which is manifested as lymphadenitis, and needs to be treated with oral antibiotics, such as cefixime, and the inflammation of the lymph nodes can be controlled in about 7-10 days of treatment. If there is swollen lymph nodes and no pain, it may be caused by tumor metastasis, commonly thyroid cancer presents with lymph node metastasis in the neck and breast cancer presents with lymph node metastasis in the armpit. Further examinations, including thyroid ultrasound and CT or mammography, are needed to find the primary lesion of the tumor, and radical surgery is needed after the diagnosis is clear.
