What are the new medications for esophageal reflux?

Esophageal reflux, i.e. reflux esophagitis, is treated with new drugs such as histamine H2 receptor antagonists, proton pump inhibitors, mucosal protectants and gastric stimulants.
1. Histamine H2 receptor antagonist: this kind of drug is mainly applicable to patients with mild and moderate symptoms, commonly used drugs are cimetidine, ranitidine, etc., but it is easy to be affected by food, and the effect time is short.
2. Proton pump inhibitors: commonly used drugs are lansoprazole, rabeprazole, etc. These drugs are the first choice for the treatment of reflux esophagitis, with rapid onset of action and long-lasting effect.
3. Mucosal protective agents: these drugs can quickly neutralize gastric acid, forming a protective film on the surface of the damaged mucosa, preventing harmful substances from attacking and facilitating the healing of the damaged mucosa, commonly used drugs are magnesium aluminium carbonate, aluminum thiogluconate and so on.
4. Gastric stimulants: common drugs include domperidone and mosapride, which can stimulate esophageal peristalsis and promote gastric emptying, and are often used in conjunction with acid-suppressing drugs.
Diagnosed reflux esophagitis, need to follow the doctor’s instructions in a timely manner to standardize the treatment, do not take the drugs, in order to avoid adverse consequences.
