Colon cancer patients need targeted therapy for several months

There is no fixed value for the maintenance time of targeted therapy for colon cancer patients, which may be several months or several years. This is because targeted therapy for colon cancer is a kind of continuous treatment, and its duration needs to be decided according to the therapeutic effect of the targeted drug. If the therapeutic effect proves that the targeted drug is effective, continuous treatment is needed. If it is proved to be effective for half a year, the treatment needs to be continued for half a year. If it is proven to be effective for several years, it needs to be treated for several years. For example, bevacizumab, furaquintinib and regorafenib, which are all anti-tumor angiogenesis targeted drugs for the treatment of colon cancer, need to be used continuously if they are proved to be effective because anti-tumor angiogenesis treatment needs to be continued as long as the tumor exists in order to ensure the reduction of blood supply to the tumor for starvation of the tumor and to achieve the purpose of treatment.
