Simple cysts of the breast are very common in clinical practice and often cause severe psychological burden to patients due to the predominant clinical presentation of breast lumps and the ineffective clinical treatment with drugs alone. In recent years, some literature reports have shown that the incidence of breast cancer in this disease is 1.7-4 times higher than normal? Therefore, the treatment of this disease has important clinical significance. This disease is related to endocrine imbalance, mainly due to the imbalance of estrogen and progesterone ratio, or the abnormal increase of sensitivity of breast tissue to hormonal stimulation. The contents of the cyst are mainly epithelial cells and bruises, which can be combined with inflammation. The current clinical treatment of this disease is based on medication or puncture and aspiration treatment. Although drug therapy alone can adjust the endocrine imbalance, the absorption and dissipation of the cyst is not ideal; puncture and aspiration therapy has better effect in the short term, but the recurrence rate is higher because the underlying cause is not removed. In our department, the organic combination of the two treatments can eliminate the cysts and adjust the endocrine balance to prevent recurrence, which has achieved good results. This disease belongs to the category of “breast fetish” in traditional Chinese medicine, which is caused by liver qi stagnation, transverse rebellion against the spleen, spleen deficiency, water-dampness dysfunction of transportation and transformation, phlegm and turbidity internal growth, phlegm and qi knotted in the breast. It is composed of San Leng, Curcuma longa, Yu Jin, Yan Hu, Zhe Bei, Bai Shao, etc., which can de-stress the liver and regulate Qi, resolve phlegm and soften firmness. Among them, San Leng, Curcuma longa, which moves qi, relieves pain and eliminates obstruction, is the ruling drug, and the “Compendium of Materia Medica” states that “San Leng can break the qi and disperse the knots, so it can cure all diseases. Its function can be close to that of the fragrant herb.” It is also known as the “Aromatic Herb”, which has a strong pungent taste and a strong aroma, and is used for the treatment of Qi knots. It is also used to treat the pain of the blood and to remove blood stasis, and to remove heat and phlegm. It is complemented by Bai Shao to nourish blood, regulate menstruation, soften the liver and slow down anxiety, Wu Jiao Long to strengthen the spleen, move Qi and relieve dampness, and Centipede to open the ligaments and disperse knots to relieve pain. The combination of all the drugs together can help to dredge the liver and move Qi, soften phlegm and disperse knots.
