Sprained ankle can cause soft tissue injury, ligament injury, fracture, etc. The recovery time for each case is different. 1. Soft tissue injury: sprained ankle may cause soft tissue injury, local bleeding, edema and inflammation after the injury will cause swelling, pain and limited activities in the ankle. The main treatment is external fixation with plaster or brace and elevation of the affected limb, and oral medication to promote fracture healing.
