Post-nephrectomy care

After kidney puncture, bed rest is needed promptly to prevent rebleeding from the local puncture site. Meanwhile, 6-8 hours after the procedure, you can drink warm water, but you should not eat indigestible food, such as dried vegetables, dried mushrooms, dried beans, etc. Also, other dietary considerations should be taken into account, such as not eating excessively spicy foods, such as chili peppers, hot pepper strips, and spicy hot pot. Do not drink alcoholic beverages for a week, and consume vitamin and fiber rich foods such as fruits and green vegetables, which can promote healing. You can also consume high quality protein with low fat and cholesterol, such as fish, shrimp, leaner beef and lamb, which can also promote wound healing. After the puncture, if there is significant local pain or fever, you need to promptly communicate with the attending physician and improve the relevant examination to check whether there is bleeding or infection possibility.
