Is there a link between UTIs and alcohol consumption?

UTI is an inflammatory reaction caused by an infection, the main cause of which is infection by a variety of pathogens, and has not been found to be related to alcohol consumption.
The most common pathogens of urethritis are various bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Neisseria gonorrhea. In addition, there are also patients with chlamydia, mycoplasma, fungi, viruses and other infections, such as Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida albicans, herpes viruses and so on.
Certain factors are prone to induce urethritis, such as urethral stone, urethral obstruction, urethral deformity, male prostatic hyperplasia. In addition medical factors such as prolonged retention of catheters and cystoscopy also increase the risk of UTI. However, alcohol consumption has not been found to cause UTI.
Suffering from urethritis, we suggest that patients go to the hospital as soon as possible, under the guidance of a professional doctor to be appropriate treatment, especially the existence of certain triggering factors should be removed as soon as possible, to avoid recurrent attacks of urethritis.
