What is the cause of frequent urination in winter

Winter urinary polyuria can be divided into physiologic and pathologic. Physiologic is related to cold and drinking too much water. Pathological and prostate hyperplasia, urinary tract infection and so on.
1. Physiological:
(1) Cold: As the weather becomes cold, the secretion of sweat decreases. The water in the body will then be excreted through urine, and frequent urination occurs.
(2) Drinking too much water: due to increased water intake, more water is consumed and more urine is naturally excreted.
2. Pathologic:
(1) Prostatic hyperplasia: it is mostly seen in middle-aged and old-aged men, which can cause frequent urination, difficulty in urination, urinary retention, and can also cause symptoms such as polyuria.
(2) Urinary system infection: can be due to bacteria, fungi, viruses and other pathogens infecting the urinary system, resulting in the patient may have frequent urination, painful urination, urinary urgency, urinary polyuria and other symptoms.
(3) stones: due to the crystal precipitation in the urine eventually lead to stones, may appear frequent urination, pain, dysuria and other symptoms, may also appear to urinate more.
In winter, if you exclude physiological causes of frequent urination or abnormal symptoms accompanied by other discomforts, it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time for examination to clarify the cause of the disease and then be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
