What are the early symptoms of facial spasms

Facial spasms mostly occur in women above middle age, mostly on one side, and it is rare for both sides to be involved. Early symptoms of facial spasms: 1. Paroxysmal involuntary twitching of one side of the facial muscles. Most patients have involuntary twitching starting from the orbicularis oculi. 2. The twitching is light at the beginning and can be relieved in a short time with a long interval. 3. Patients cannot control or imitate the onset of twitching. 4. The face is generally painless during twitching episodes and is not accompanied by twitching of the neck and limbs. 5. Individual patients may have headache and ipsilateral tinnitus, auditory hypersensitivity, disturbance of vasodilation and contraction of the affected side.
