Cervical biopsy and immunohistochemistry are two different tests and there is no such thing as a big difference in results. Cervical biopsy is to find out some lesions of the cervix, if the lesion shows heterogeneous growth of cells, immunohistochemistry is needed. Cervical biopsy is mainly used to check for gynecological diseases. If specific inflammation or suspicious growths are found in the cervix, or malignancy is suspected, a biopsy is needed to diagnose the disease. Immunohistochemistry is also a kind of examination method. If some heterogeneous growth cells appear in the biopsy, which cannot be diagnosed by cervical biopsy, then immunohistochemistry is needed, which can more accurately find out the nature of lesions, such as squamous cell carcinoma or linear cell carcinoma. If the results of cervical biopsy and immunohistochemistry are abnormal, you should communicate with your doctor to clarify the extent of the disease and to treat it accordingly, so as not to delay your condition.
