Early detection of stroke precursors

In recent years, with the improvement of living standards and aging in China, the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases has also increased, and scientists foresee that the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in China will rise to the first place in the world within this century. Walking in the street, we will see many patients with hemiplegia or in wheelchairs, or such patients are around us, our families, we all know that their quality of life is very low, they go to the doctor to bring the financial burden is extremely heavy, their family members are also deeply pain ……. Not only the physical pain, but also the psychological problems after a stroke can be a long-term problem for patients and their families. However, the current treatment for stroke is limited and most patients have varying degrees of residual symptoms. Therefore, the most effective means to reduce the incidence of the disease is prevention. In Chinese medicine, “treating the disease before it occurs” means to stop the disease in its infancy before it occurs. Therefore, applying this to stroke, we can teach people how to recognize the symptoms of stroke, so that they can benefit from it, regardless of the age of onset – middle-aged or old, or young people, so that they can be alerted when the symptoms occur in themselves or their family members, or even in their neighbors, and be advised to seek early medical attention to prevent the onset of the disease. The symptoms can be as follows The aura symptoms can be as follows: 1. vertigo. According to Zhu Danxi, vertigo is the gradual development of stroke. That is to say, dizziness is one of the aura symptoms of stroke. Clinically, the diseases that cause vertigo are hypertension, cervical spondylosis, insufficient blood supply to the basilar artery, Meniere’s syndrome, intracranial tumor, brain stem encephalitis, etc. These diseases may develop into stroke when they are frequent, poorly controlled, or triggered by exertion, emotional excitement, cold weather, etc. Therefore, when you see vertigo, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible for effective treatment. 2.Distension and redness of the face. It is often seen together with vertigo. It can be seen in patients with hypertension and occurs when blood pressure rises sharply. Hypertension itself is a risk factor for stroke. Long-term hypertension, poor control, or high and low blood pressure can lead to degeneration of small arteries and tiny arteries, occlusion of the lumen, and ischemic stroke; or blood vessel rupture, and hemorrhagic stroke. 3. Deafness and eye swelling. It is also one of the common symptoms of hypertension. For some patients, deafness and distension occur for a long time, so they should seek medical attention or monitor their blood pressure to understand the blood pressure control. 4. Forgetfulness. It is common in middle-aged and elderly people. Some people think it is a sign of aging and do not care, often ignoring it. It is normal for memory to diminish to some extent as we age, but when there is a significant decline, which is often referred to as amnesia, it is important to seek medical attention because this is one of the manifestations of insufficient blood supply and oxygen supply to the brain. Chinese medicine says that kidney deficiency leads to forgetfulness, and liver and kidney yin deficiency leads to hyperactivity of liver and yang, which is a precursor of stroke. So don’t ignore forgetfulness. 5. Numbness in the hands and feet and muscle crepitus. Liu Wansu’s “Su Wen Ji Qi Yi Bao Sheng Ji? Stroke theory” said: “so the stroke, all have aura of the evidence. Anyone who feels numbness in the thumb and the second finger, or who does not use the hands and feet, or who has writhing muscles, will have a big wind within three years.” In fact, this symptom is commonly seen in patients with transient ischemic attack in clinical practice. Therefore, it should not be ignored, and timely medical treatment should be sought. 6.Heavy head and light feet, sometimes want to dizzy flutter. Before a stroke is detected, some patients often feel that their head is heavy and their feet are light, and they want to fall or have fallen, which are the aura symptoms of stroke. In addition, the presence of transient speech, black eyes, etc. should be taken as a warning for the occurrence of stroke. The above symptoms can occur individually, but most of them occur simultaneously. They are listed here to help you understand the symptoms of stroke so that you can seek early medical attention and treatment.
